Tis the season for Gifting…
With the Christmas upon us we focus on how to spoil those nearest and dearest….and what better way that with something that can be enjoyed by many. A little time taken to fill a jar with some ingredients…..and a little inspiration to get everyone into the kitchen baking …..we were inspired by a fabulous idea from Donna Hay for her Triple Chocolate Brownie mix…..and they are super delicious!

Some Like it Hot this Christmas
For your nearest and dearest this Christmas that enjoy a little hot and spicy….what about a jar of fabulous Peri-Peri Sauce…whizzed up with some wonderful No-Land Farming Olive Oil……..brushed over some chicken or vegetable on popped onto the braai…..no one can resist!
NO Land PERI- PERI SAUCE
A South African staple after being introduced by the Portuguese to Mozambique.
Spell it with an “I” for it African/Portuguese origins and with an “e” for it South African flavour.
We gave it a South African twist using a locally manufactured (No Land Extra virgin Olive Oil)
12 red chilli’s (or mixed)
1 yellow pepper
3 cloves of garlic, chopped
Rind of 1 lemon
3 T lemon juice
1 t salt ( Maldon)
No-Land olive oil and white grape vinegar ( 4:1 ration)
Place all ingredients except the oil and vinegar into a blender.
Whizz to form a chunky paste
Transfer to a glass container and top up with oil and vinegar.
Close the jar and shake daily
It should mature with time.
